This listing is for a custom 1/24 scale diecast replica of the 1991 TIC Financial Oldsmobile driven by David Green and Jeff Burton in the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series (driver plate left blank). All paint and decals were removed from a 1991 Revel Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme stock car 1/24 Diecast. This diecast was scraped/cleaned to bare metal, primed and then painted with a black semigloss paint. Waterslide decals from two different kits were used as these decals were brittle- I also had to repair two main areas of decals- the roof number decal and the Hood Sponsor decal both experienced breaking so I patched/repaired them to the best of my ability. This car comes AS IS- it is not perfect but is a rare custom with solid paint and decent (old kit) decals that were trimmed, applied and cleaned around edges etc.
I swapped chassis and tires with other Revell chassis that I had in my inventory/collection and gave this car chrome wheels and Hoosier tires (this team used Hoosier Tires and Goodyear tires) ; I also added extra Oldsmobile Rocket/Nameplate decals plus Trim decals to make the front end more accurate, window post OLDS decals, upgraded/series specific contingency sponsor decals (two on Front L/R) and AC Spark Plug Deck Lid Decals used by GM teams starting in 1991. This custom vintage collectible features a black paint scheme, Revell 1/24 diecast donor car, all new paint, rare/extra decals used plus two standard sets of decals from 1991 TIC Olds decal sheets, rare Hoosier tire package (Hoosier came back to Busch Series in 1991)- this is a rare/limited edition custom built from scratch. This diecast is perfect for fans of: NASCAR, diecast racing cars, stock cars, vintage racing, Oldsmobile, rare and unique NASCAR collectibles, Jeff Green, Jeff Burton and NASCAR Busch Grand National Series and related memorabilia. I have some in storage but cannot get to them. Decals were fixed to the best of my ability with the materials available to me and price/offers factor this in If car does not sell I will go over decals with another decal kit where necessary and readjust price/offer amounts.
This custom was made by me from start-to-finish so I should be able to answer any/all questions. This car was not manufactured commercially (only decal kits) and this particular diecast was made by me, therefore it is considered a "custom" diecast.
