This auto book is from the Drivers dinner the night before the 1997'Busch Clash' all-star race held at daytona Speedway. Each of the drivers were given a book that was passed around and signed by the other all-stars at the dinner table. This copy was Rusty Wallace's book, he didn't sign his page of course. Dale senior's book was probably passed down to and currently owned by hall-of-famer Dale Jr.. Luckily you have a chance to own this pro-exclusive piece of history. When the cover is opened, the first page reveals a big Dale Sr. The signature would fill the entire front of a sports card.

Signed by all eligible Pole finishers of 1996, only the fastest drivers in the sport. Qualified for the clash by winning pole at the'96 Daytona 500, and winning pole at watkins glenn with a broken collarbone.

The Busch Clash at Daytona intl Speedway was often known as the driver's favorite race of the year. Spoiler alert You should watch the race first before going further -- the race was won by Jeff Gordon, with Rusty Wallace in 2nd and Dale Sr. The next year, in 1998 the busch clash was renamed the Budweiser Shootout. A week after signing this book, and the clash win, 25 year old Jeff Gordon became the youngest driver to win the Daytona 500. And Gordon didn't stop there, he won the Carolina 400 the next week too. Finishing the season with 10 race wins, Gordon secured a'97 Winston Cup victory. The 7" × 5" Book is Autographed / Signed by Jeff Burton, Ward Burton, 6 time Busch clash winner Dale Earnhardt Sr. 1995 Winston Cup Champion Jeff Gordon, Defending Busch Clash and Daytona 500 winner Dale Jarrett, Bobby Labonte, Defending Winston Cup Champion and 2nd place finisher at the'97 Daytona 500 Terry Labonte, legend Mark Martin, Jeremy Mayfield, 1996 ROTY Johnny Benson, 1991 Daytona 500 winner Ernie Irvan, 3rd place finisher in the'97 Daytona 500 Ricky Craven, and Ted Musgrave. A quarter and dime are shown in the second image for scale refference. As you can see from the photos, all of the big autographs are in excellent condition, only Benson's shows a mark. The pages are very thick and glossy. So note that the upper right corner of each page is reflecting some lamp light in the photos. In person, the top corner has the darkest and deepest blue on the page. The driver photos with their cars racing in the background are amazing and have a great retro look to them. Get this piece of NASCAR history before it gets locked up in a collection for good.
